While Glacier Ice packs are non-toxic, they are not drain-safe and may cause a clog.
Recycle/disposal: Simply cut the corner and pour the gel into the trash or spread in an isolated area of the yard or garden where pets do not have access, then dispose of the rinsed film in a #4 recycle bin. Note that Glacier Ice gel is 99.5% water and will dehydrate to .5% of its weight. Whole gel packs may be disposed of in your waste bin according to local and state laws.
Reuse: Gel packs may be rinsed clean and stored in household freezers to be used in lunch boxes or ice chest to keep perishables cold.
Enviro Ice underwent rigorous lab testing and has no impact to sinks, PVC pipes, septic tanks, or municipal treatment centers. In addition to being drain safe, Enviro Ice is Nitrogen-based and can be used as plant food.
Recycle/disposal: Simply cut the corner and pour the gel down a household drain or flush in a toilet. Rinse the plastic pouch and recycle it anywhere #4 low density polyethylene plastic is accepted. Whole gel packs may be disposed of in your waste bin according to local and state laws.
To use as plant food, please use the following guidelines:
Indoor Plants: Mix 6 oz. / 170 grams / 0.75 cups of Enviro Ice per gallon of water. Feed indoor plants every two weeks.
Outdoor Flowers and Vegetables: Mix 17 oz. / 480 grams / 2 cups of Enviro Ice with one gallon of water in a watering can. Feed outdoor plants every 7-14 days during the growing season.
If plants become over-fertilized, remove a thin top layer of soil and cover the remaining soil with distilled water, then allow it to drain. Repeat 4 times.
